Vanilla Fir Tree Honey

Vanilla Fir Tree honey comes only from Mt. Mainalon in the Peloponnese and has been given the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) distinction, and is not produced every year and in limited quantities.

Vanilla Fir Tree honey comes from Black Fir trees and has a rich flavor with notes of vanilla and caramel.

The texture is thick and creamy and is unique to this specific type of honey, that is because it is made from tree resin rather than flowers.

Does not crystallize due to the high pH and low levels of sugar. It is rich in enzymes, proteins, vitamins and trace elements, such as iron, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium.
