Olive Wood Backgammon Set

Hand made olive wood Backgammon Board with Walnut and Olive Wood pieces, and a set of dice. When closed, it measures ~12" long, ~7" wide, ~1.75" tall. When open, it measures ~12" long, ~14.25" wide, and ~7/8" tall.

Each board is slightly different in appearance due to different grain pattern, but each are beautiful and unique. Some boards are made with root burl and some are made with side grain wood.

Backgammon, or "tavli" as it is called in Greece, is a very popular game for all generations. The sound of the pieces slapping on the board and old men sipping coffee and screaming about the game is a common sound of Greek taverns, and always brings me back. Makes a perfect gift for anyone who loves playing board games and can act as a coffee table piece with the beautiful appearance.
